Privacy Policy

InSt😱ck is an online marketplace operated from Jamaica, connecting independent Jamaican sellers with buyers across the island. Our contact email is daviancraddock@yahoo.com.

When you shop (no account needed). At checkout we collect your name, phone number, email address, and delivery address (street, city, parish) so the seller can fulfill your order. Guests can save this in their browser between visits — it never touches our server unless you complete checkout.

When you create a seller account. We store your shop name, email, hashed password, and PayPal email. If you sign in with Google, we store your Google account ID and avatar. We also store your saved delivery address if you provide one.

Orders. When a purchase is made, we record what was bought, the buyer's delivery details, and the PayPal transaction reference so disputes can be resolved.

Cookies and local storage. We use a session cookie to maintain your shopping cart. Delivery address details are saved in your browser's localStorage for convenience — this is stored on your device only, not our server.

• To deliver your order to your address
• To allow sellers to contact you about your order
• To manage seller accounts and process subscription payments via PayPal
• To keep your cart across page visits
• To detect and prevent fraud or misuse

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.

All payments are processed through PayPal. When you click "Pay via PayPal" you are redirected to PayPal's secure checkout. We do not store your card details — PayPal handles all payment processing. PayPal's own privacy policy applies: paypal.com/privacy.

Buyer payments go directly to the seller's PayPal account (or to the platform account during the initial launch period). Seller subscription fees go to the platform's PayPal account.

We use:

• Session cookie — keeps your cart alive while you browse. Cleared when you close your browser.
• Seller session cookie — keeps you logged in to your seller account.
• localStorage key instock_delivery — stores your delivery address in your browser so the checkout form pre-fills next time. Device-only, not sent to our server until you check out.
• localStorage key cookies_ok — remembers that you've dismissed this banner.

We do not use advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.

You have the right to:

• Know what personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data (update your seller profile from the dashboard)
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
• Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account
• Object to processing where we rely on legitimate interests

To exercise any right, email us at daviancraddock@yahoo.com. We will respond within 14 days.

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All data in transit is protected by HTTPS/TLS. Our database is stored on the server and not publicly accessible. Despite these precautions, no online system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password for your seller account.

We keep seller account and order data for as long as accounts remain active or as required for legal and accounting purposes. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we have a legal obligation to retain it.

InSt😱ck is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of InSt😱ck after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
